About Nartana

Welcome to the Nartana Kuchipudi Dance Academy! We are thrilled that you have chosen our school to pursue this wonderful dance for which is one of the major classical dance forms in India.
Students of all ages and background are welcome; passion is the only pre-requisite.
We will explore graceful and soulful gestures through this ancient classical dance form, passed down from the masters to students under the Guru-Shishya parampara.

POOJA PILLI

Pooja is the founder of Nartana Kuchipudi Dance Academy. She started this academy with an aim to create wider representation for Kuchipudi through performing, mentoring and teaching.
Based in Canada, her strength lies in instilling dedication through rigorous practice of the art form using fun and simple teaching methods. she began her journey in 2005 learning Padma Bhushan Sri Vempati Chinna satyam's style under the tutelage of Smt.SriDevi Garu followed by Dr. Yeleswarapu Srinivasulu Garu and Smt. Swathi Somnath Garu.
She completed her Masters in kuchipudi Dance from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University.She received many accolades that include Best Dancer award by Silicon Andhra and Guiness World records for dance. Having performed at various prestigious festivals globally, she is happy to have found a place that enables her to pass down the knowledge of this vibrant and graceful art form to her students.
